Who we are
Summer Social is operated by WestworthKemp Events Ltd, Eastgate House, Dogflud Way, Farnham GU9 7UD. We are responsible for the personal information we use to run Summer Social and respond to enquiries.
For privacy questions or requests, email info@summersocial.co.uk or write to us at the address above.
Information we use and why
When you contact us, we use the contact details and information you provide to respond, discuss partnerships and manage your enquiry. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in communicating with people interested in Summer Social, or taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
When you book or enter a competition, we use the booking, contact and team information needed to administer your entry, communicate essential event information and provide the services you have booked. Our lawful basis is performance of our contract with you. We may also retain information where necessary to meet legal obligations or handle disputes.
Our website is hosted by Squarespace. It processes technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device information, and website activity to deliver, secure and measure the website. Essential processing supports our legitimate interest in operating a secure website. Non-essential cookie-based analytics depend on your cookie consent.
Marketing choices
Where you choose to receive our marketing, we use your contact details to send Summer Social news and offers by the channels you have selected. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe option in a message or by emailing info@summersocial.co.uk. Withdrawing marketing consent does not stop essential messages about an existing booking.
Service providers and other websites
We use service providers to support website hosting, ticketing, communications and event administration. These include Squarespace for this website, Eventbrite for ticket bookings, Mailchimp for email communications and Jotform for linked registration forms. We share information only where needed for the relevant service or where required by law.
Ticket purchases and linked forms take place on the relevant provider’s website. Their own privacy and cookie notices also apply. Social media links take you to separate websites with their own policies.
Some providers process information outside the UK. International processing must be covered by the relevant data protection arrangements, which may include UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your data.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected. We consider whether an enquiry or booking is still active, event administration needs, legal and accounting requirements, and any outstanding complaint or dispute. Marketing information is kept while you remain subscribed; a limited suppression record may be retained to respect an unsubscribe request.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict its use, receive a portable copy, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can object to direct marketing at any time and withdraw consent where we rely on it. These rights are subject to applicable legal conditions.
Contact info@summersocial.co.uk to make a request. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookie Policy
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Similar technologies can also remember choices or measure website use.
Essential cookies
Essential cookies help the website operate securely and remember your cookie preferences. They do not require consent and remain available when you reject non-essential cookies.
Non-essential cookies
Squarespace analytics and preference cookies can help us understand how the website is used and improve the experience. Squarespace’s non-essential cookies are restricted until you accept them. We have not added advertising tracking pixels to this website.
Your cookie choices
Choose Accept all, Reject all or Manage cookies in the banner. You can revisit your choice using Cookie Preferences on the website. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not prevent you from accessing the event information or following booking links. You can also delete cookies or control them through your browser settings.
Links to Eventbrite, Jotform and social media take you to other websites. Cookie choices on this website do not control cookies on those separate websites. Embedded third-party content may also have its own privacy controls.
For details of Squarespace cookie names, purposes and lifetimes, see Squarespace’s “The cookies Squarespace uses” guidance at support.squarespace.com. For questions about our cookie use, contact info@summersocial.co.uk.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our website or data practices change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
