On December 27th, BRIT and MOBO award winning drum and bass group, Rudimental will be the headline act during Big Game 8 when Harlequins take on Gloucester Rugby at Twickenham Stadium.
Widely known for their collaborations with John Newman, Ed Sheeran, Ella Eyre, Jess Glynne and Emeli Sande, they will perform pre-match and at half time during the eagerly anticipated festive Aviva Premiership clash at Twickenham Stadium.
Currently on tour throughout Europe, Asia and Australia, Big Game 8 will be one of the first gigs that the group will perform on home soil since releasing their second studio album, We the Generation, which topped the album chart last month.
The Big Game series has become a firm fixture in rugby supporters’ calendars. Now in its eighth year, breath taking Aviva Premiership Rugby is combined with off field entertainment, unique ball deliveries and stunning pyrotechnic displays.
Big Game 8 will provide supporters an opportunity to see Harlequins’ new signings Jamie Roberts, Adam Jones, Tim Visser and James Horwill in action alongside seasoned English internationals Chris Robshaw, Mike Brown, Danny Care, Joe Marler and Nick Easter.
On confirming the performance at Big Game 8 Rudimental said: “We are really excited to be playing at Big Game 8 and can’t wait to perform in front of over 80,000 people at Twickenham Stadium after Christmas. Big Game 8 is one of the biggest festive sporting occasions and we are looking forward to being a part of it.”
